Why Ridgid vacuums are a leader in professional wet vacs
A wet/dry shop vacuum is an appliance you must have in your garage or workspace especially if you regularly deal with debris like saw dust and runoff liquids. It’s very effective in sucking up dirt, most types of liquids, and lumps of materials that a standard vacuum cleaner can’t deal with. If you are planning to purchase one, there are a lot of brands that you can choose from. However, it’s highly recommended that you pick any of those manufactured by Ridgid. When it comes to professional wet vacs, Ridgid products are considered as the standard in the industry. Every Ridgid vacuum cleaner comes with features and accessories that help you perform your cleaning tasks more efficiently.
Wet vacs by Ridgid come in different sizes and capabilities. If you want one that has great storage, then you should pick the Ridgid WD7000 11-Gallon Smart Cart. This machine is an industry leader when it comes to power and performance. On top of the appliance are two storage drawers where you can easily store accessories and the hose. As to the vacuum’s storage drum and filter, these can be removed with ease for emptying and cleaning. The filter is one of the most sensitive parts of the vacuum so this should be regularly removed for cleaning.
Another powerful product by Ridgid is the 50353 1610RV Wet/Dry Vacuum. This vacuum has a capacity of 16 gallons which means it’s very handy for cleaning up large rooms and spaces with too much spilled liquids and other debris. It has a sturdy push handle as well as wheels which allows you to easily transport the vacuum from one room to another. And last but not the least, it has a built-in sound reduction technology which significantly minimizes the noise coming from the motor. Like most of Ridgid‘s products, this particular model is easy to clean.
One very important attribute of Ridgid vacuums is their durability. They are built to function and perform even in very rugged workspaces. Every part of the appliance is made from high-quality materials. For instance, the hose is ultra-flexible and it is four times more durable compared to the hoses being used by other vacuum brands. The hose also has a very smooth interior which reduces clogging and debris accumulation. Furthermore, they are designed and built with safety in mind which makes them very useful in wet environments. In conclusion, if you are looking for a reliable and durable wet/dry vacuum, you should choose a Ridgid vacuum.
I have used the Ridgid WD1450 vacuum cleaner and I am not going to promise you heaven. The Ridgid vacuum is a vacuum cleaner like any other and you have to work with it to get the best out of it. Not that the Rigid vacuum cleaner is a bad cleaner, but what i am telling you here is purely my experience. I bought my Rigid vacuum three months ago and i must confess it has served me well enough. If you would wish to buy this cleaner then here are the technical facts about it:
Most of the Ridgid vacuums are made out of plastic outer casings to reduce on their weight. The Ridgid vacs are easy to move around with and hence making your work more easy and less tiresome. This vacuum cleaner has a horse with a diameter of 2.5 inches with a long 20 feet power supply cord that makes it possible to move with it around the room. This vacuum also has an opening for airflow at the back with a pretty good filter to reduce dust particles. That is basically what the Ridgid vac has to offer plus the on and of switch of course.
The Rigid vacuum is a very powerful vacuum and has a superb performance. This cleaner pics dust at such a high pressure than any other vacuum i have seen. Actually the Ridgid vacuum are designed to be wet cleaners. I think this is the reason why some customers have complained about the vacs back air flow as having too much pressure. If you used this cleaner on dusty surfaces it will definitely lead to some dust spreading around but it is not that much to cause alarm. Actually i personally use this cleaner for dusty floors and all i have to do is sprinkle them with a little water.
PROS AND CONS
The Ridgid vacuum clean seems to have more pros than cons or maybe it is just how i feel about it. The high suction power i get from this vacuum cleaner is amazing. The light casing and long power cord are all factors that make working with the Rigid vacuum enjoyable.
The main disadvantage of this cleaner is the high pressure back air flow. Other disadvantages include the many corners and crevices that dust gets stuck on the cleaner. However this problem is well countered by the vac vibration hence only little dust sticks in the crevices.
